About The ABA – America’s Largest and Most Diversified Professional Sports League

The American Basketball Association (ABA) is a men’s professional basketball league. The league has grown to become the largest professional sports league in the world! In 1999 Joe Newman and the late Richard P. Tinkham founded the league. It is the re-launch of the original ABA which merged with the NBA in 1976. Tinkham co-founded both the original ABA and the Indiana Pacers. Joe Newman was the CEO of Joe Newman Advertising, Inc. and Alliance Broadcasting Group, Inc. The ABA was established in 1967 and merged with the National Basketball Association in 1976 [New Jersey Nets, San Antonio Spurs, Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets]. Some of the ABA notable players where: Julius Irving (Dr. J) George Gervin (The Iceman), Ricky Barry, Moses Malone along with, many others that came to be NBA players. The ABA was reformed in 2000 in partnership with the NBA and has been operating in harmony for the past 22 years.

Why Sports?

Just in America along FANS spend more than $20 billion annually on tickets and other sport related expenses with no return on investment unless they are buying valuable collectibles or sports betting. New ownership rules for NBA, NHL, MLB, and MLS now allows for corporations to hold minority ownership of teams. We are realistic and understand that at our early stages the idea of buying into one of those leagues might be far from reality. Our goal is to buy ownership in those overlooked leagues like A7FL, BIG3, NISL, WFL, etc.

As those overlooked leagues grow in popularity the value of our investment will grow, giving us leverage to partner with investors and potentially buy into the WNSL or MLS to start as those leagues are not as expensive to own.

How will I be represented?

One NFT = one vote. Each person will have equal representation within the ownership structure.

$SPORTS holders will not have decision making rights within the project, but opinions will be heard and potential changes could be voted on by NFT holders.
